Terms of Service

Last updated: July 17, 2026

These terms are a legal agreement between you and Codebyte, the operator of the MyVaad service (the "Company", "we"). Using the Service — on myvaad.co.il or in any MyVaad application — means you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Hebrew version of these terms is the binding one; this English version is provided for convenience.

1. What the Service is

MyVaad is a platform for managing residential building committees (vaad bayit): charge management and dues collection, payment tracking, receipts, resident votes, notifications (WhatsApp, SMS, and email), and a management console for management companies.

MyVaad is a management tool only. It is not the building committee, not a management company, and not a party to the building's decisions, its charges, or disputes between residents and the committee.

2. Accounts and roles

The Service has three kinds of users, each with its own responsibilities:

  • Building committee — declares that it is lawfully authorized to manage the building, and is responsible for the accuracy of the resident list, charges, and amounts it enters, and for providing residents' details to the Service lawfully.
  • Management company — bound by the same obligations as a committee, for every building it manages.
  • Residents and apartment owners — responsible for the accuracy of the details they provide and for keeping their sign-in credentials safe.

You may not transfer an account to someone else, impersonate another person, or use someone else's account. Notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized use of your account.

3. Payments and processing

Committee dues and any other charge are set by the building committee or the management company, under applicable law (including the Land Law and the building's bylaws) — not by us. We provide the collection and tracking tool only.

Card payments are made on the secure payment page of Pelecard, a licensed Israeli payment services provider, and are cleared through a terminal registered to Phoenix Gama Ltd (company no. 512711789), the licensed clearing company. Card details are entered directly on Pelecard's page; MyVaad does not hold residents' funds, does not store card details, and is not a party to the payment transaction.

Receipts are generated by the system based on the committee's data. Claims about incorrect charges or refund requests should be directed to the building committee or the management company; we will gladly help investigate the technical side.

The price of using the Service is set by the plan agreed with the committee or the management company, as detailed on the pricing page or in the engagement agreement.

4. Votes

The Service provides a tool for running resident votes, including participation records and protocol export. Responsibility for the legal validity of decisions — including voting eligibility, the required quorum, and the manner of decision under law and the building's bylaws — rests solely with the building committee.

5. Messages from the Service

By joining the Service you agree to receive service messages related to your building — charges, payment confirmations, vote invitations, and committee updates — via WhatsApp, SMS, or email. These are operational messages, not marketing. You can contact us to adjust delivery channels, subject to some messages being essential to operating the Service.

6. Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree:

  • Not to use the Service unlawfully or in breach of these terms.
  • Not to upload content that is offensive, defamatory, or infringes the rights of others.
  • Not to attempt to bypass security mechanisms, interfere with the Service, or access information not intended for you.
  • Not to scrape data from the Service and not to make commercial use of it without our agreement.

7. Ownership of data and of the platform

Building data — the resident list, charges, payments, votes, and documents — belongs to the building and its committee, not to us. The committee may export it at any time.

The platform itself — our code, design, trademarks, and content — is the Company's intellectual property and may not be copied or used without permission.

8. Service availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service highly available, but it is provided as-is, and interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, or failures — on our side or at third-party providers (payment processing, WhatsApp, SMS, hosting). We do not guarantee continuous, fault-free availability.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: the Company will not be liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages; and the Company's total liability in connection with the Service will not exceed the amounts actually paid to it for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event.

The Company is not responsible for decisions of the committee or the management company, for the accuracy of the data they enter, for the relationship between residents and the committee, or for the acts of third-party providers, including the payment processor.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited or excluded under law.

10. Termination

A resident may close their account at any time; note that the building's charge and payment records remain with the committee afterwards, as required by law.

A committee or management company may end its engagement under the terms of its plan. After termination, it has a 30-day window to export the building's data, after which the data is deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service in the event of a material breach of these terms, abuse, or a real risk to system security — and in severe cases, without prior notice.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will give advance notice of material changes through the Service; continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and the use of the Service are governed exclusively by the laws of the State of Israel. The competent courts of the Tel Aviv–Jaffa district have exclusive jurisdiction.
